Marieska's senior year journalism capstone focuses on how Filipinos away from home and the homeland maintain a connection with food, as food is integral in Filipino culture.
JR103 The Digital Journalist
Marieska's final project for JR103 The Digital Journalist, where she dives into what theatre at Emerson looked like at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, and what the lack of in-person education and performance opportunities looks like for those involved in the profession.
WR121 Research Writing
Marieska's final project for WR121 Research Writing, in which her research paper explores the effect of multilingualism on a monolingual society like the United States, especially with the predominance of the English language on the teaching of non-English languages. This project also takes the form of a podcast, in which Marieska navigates her own relationship with language.
