Panlasang Balay (A Taste of Home): Stories of Food and the Filipino

Panlasang Balay (A Taste of Home) is Marieska Luzada's senior journalism capstone that explores the question: How do Filipinos away from the motherland (such as Filipino immigrants, Filipino Americans, and Filipinos away from family) navigate their relationship with food? With Pinoy cuisine having slowly made a presence in American society over the past few years, Marieska explores how Filipinos (and Filipino-led organizations and businesses in Boston, specifically) see their relationship with Pinoy cuisine, and how it affects their own identity as Filipinos in America.
